Hydraulic drives

Hydraulic drive is a particularly good solution for vessels where there is no space for a traditional engine with a conventional shaft line. The combustion engine can be placed anywhere on the yacht, at any angle relative to the shaft and at any distance from it. The absence of a rigid connection between the engine and the shaft gives us truly great flexibility.

Hydraulic drive can be built around Beta 38 to Beta 115 engines. We design and build custom hydraulic solutions based on combustion engines. The hydraulic drive is designed individually based on the hull performance parameters.

The designed and supplied drive consists of: an engine, a hydraulic pump matched to the engine power, a 35-litre hydraulic oil tank with level indicator, a 25-micron filter, and a directional control valve for controlling the propeller operation. Hydraulic hoses are quoted separately.

The hydraulic drive consists of a Beta Marine engine with a hydraulic pump and the following components:
