Beta 38 Saildrive

Beta Marine engines with Saildrive transmissions:

4-cylinder, naturally aspirated diesel engine developing 38 hp at 3600 rpm with a displacement of 1498 cm3 (compliant with the exhaust emissions directive for recreational engines). Heat-exchanger cooled, with indirect injection, based on KUBOTA engines, fitted with a special heavy flywheel to ensure smooth running under propeller load, a three-vortex combustion system for quiet operation, low emissions and low fuel consumption; a quiet, gear-driven camshaft provides excellent reliability and easy servicing — no timing chain or belts subject to wear — also fitted with a water-cooled exhaust manifold, a 65 A alternator delivering maximum output at the vessel's cruising speed, a 12V starter motor, and glow plugs for cold starting below 5°C. Supplied complete with a standard 'ABV' control panel, a fuel filter and mechanical pump, an oil filter and an oil drain pump, and can be installed at up to 15° when static and 25° when heeling. Also fitted with standard Saildrive feet and rubber engine mounts.
